Ace Hotel Sydney is our first-ever spot in Australia, set in the verve of Surry Hills. Inspired by the neighbourhood's vibrant rhythm, Ace Sydney is home to a bustling public Lobby alive nearly nightly with DJs and performers, a rebellious art program and sunken lounge just off the Lobby bar. We’ve also got three distinct restaurants led by award-winning culinary pros, including celebrated Copenhagen-based Australian chef, Beau Clugston's Kiln; our oasis for fresh, seasonal fare called LOAM; and a day-to-night laneway café, Good Chemistry. About you
You are a calm and positive team player who is passionate about food and the customer experience, with a ‘lead by example' approach. You can communicate concisely with the kitchen and front of house team with the ability to take direction effortlessly as the kitchen bustles with high energy. As operations unfold you can work autonomously while executing high-quality dishes and cohesive service that are fundamental to the customer experience. Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a diverse offerings kitchen is ideal with duties involving training junior chefs, ordering and stock management. You will need to have a thorough comprehension of kitchen safety protocols to help foster a safe working environment as you work collaboratively with other team members.

About the Role
Immerse yourself in the culinary charm of our award-winning venue, as you work collaboratively in our restaurant with the Head Chef to design and coordinate beautiful dishes. You will be working a 5-day week on a rotating roster including weekends and nights as we are open 24/7 as you execute a variety of exceptional recipes. Your role will include helping mentor the junior chefs during service, receiving and managing stock levels for sections, prep ingredients for service and assisting with menu and specials development all while ensuring compliance with HACCP standards in the kitchen. Desired experience in pastry/dessert crafting to help lead the development of our sweet menu items fitting for all occasions including lunch and dinner. Your role goes beyond crafting dishes – you'll be the driving force, ensuring we keep the service flowing seamlessly.
